Position Overview
Sharp InfoTech Inc is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and support Oracle database environments, particularly Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 Financial modules. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database administration, performance tuning, PL/SQL development, and supporting financial applications such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
The role involves collaborating with functional and technical teams to ensure reliable database performance, secure integrations, and efficient financial data processing.
Job Roles / Responsibilities
Database Administration & Development
Develop and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers supporting Oracle EBS R12 Financial modules including AP, AR, and GL.
Manage and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
Perform database monitoring, backup, recovery, and performance tuning to maintain system reliability.
Oracle EBS Support & Integration
Design and implement custom extensions and integrations within Oracle EBS Financial modules to support enterprise accounting processes.
Develop interfaces and data migration programs using PL/SQL, Oracle APIs, and flat-file integrations with external systems.
Support data integration and ensure accurate data flow between Oracle EBS and external applications.
Reporting & Data Management
Develop and maintain BI Publisher reports and Oracle Reports to support financial reporting, reconciliation, and data validation.
Ensure database data integrity and maintain accurate financial reporting structures.
Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, application errors, and performance problems within Oracle EBS Financial modules.
Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexing strategies, and data access patterns.
Collaboration & Support
Work closely with functional analysts, finance teams, and developers to gather requirements and implement technical solutions.
Participate in system testing, deployment activities, and production support.
Ensure adherence to change management policies, coding standards, and database best practices.
Required Skills
Strong experience with Oracle Database Administration.
Expertise in PL/SQL development (packages, procedures, functions, triggers).
Experience supporting Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 Financial modules – AP, AR, GL.
Experience with BI Publisher and Oracle Reports.
Knowledge of Oracle APIs, data migration, and integration techniques.
Strong troubleshooting and database performance tuning skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with database security, backup, and recovery strategies.
Familiarity with enterprise financial systems and accounting workflows.
Experience working in production support environments and change management processes.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Database Administration, or a related field.
